Eat Local for the Globe.

While we’re working on a renovation here at writes4food.com, I wanted to let you know about a fantastic local food event in Cincinnati this week. You’ll have a hard time finding better food—in one place at one time.

Eat Local for the Globe is the major annual fundraiser for Findlay Market, a place that’s very dear to my heart (and tummy!). Join us this Thursday evening starting at 6:00. You can play this in two ways: A dinner-by-the-bite tasting station selection that features prepared foods from Findlay Market’s vendors and craft cocktails from Molly Wellmann and Rom Wells, and beers from Christian Moerlein.

Or, enjoy the Chefs Table seating for 70 guests featuring a seven-course meal prepared by some of the region’s top chefs, including Joel Malloy (Nicola’s), Hideki Harada (Kaze), Dan Wright (Senate & Abigail St.), Todd Kelly (Orchids at Palm Court), Jean-Robert de Cavel (Jean Robert’s Table), Jose Salazar (Salazar), Adam Cobb (Enoteca Emilia), Stephen Williams (Bouquet), Renee Schuler (Eat Well), Elias Leisring (Eli’s BBQ), Steven Geddes (Local 127), Michael Paley (Metropole), Summer Genetti (Lola), Steven Shockley (Date Dinner) and Michael Christner (Dojo Gelato). Wine pairings courtesy of Market Wines at Findlay Market.

We’ll be gathering outdoors at Findlay Market, to share food together and to support the Market and its efforts to bring local food to the greater Cincinnati community. If you’d like to join us, tickets are still available here.
