Wine of the Week: Montes Cherub

Wine: Montes Cherub Rosé of Syrah 2009
Price: $12
Tasting notes: tart strawberries; a zippy, acidic wine that’s crisp, refreshing and great with food
Story: If your idea of a rosé wine is white zinfandel, then you need to get to know “real” rosés like this one. The “Cherub” isn’t at all sweet, but has bright fresh berry flavors that zing. Unlike some other rosés, this one has great structure that wants to be served with food.
Rating (out of 4 possible paws):

  1. you know what my favorite part of this review is? that the bottle in the pic is e.m.p.t.y. NICE! You are brilliant and I love the idea of the paw-principle. Paws UP, everyone!
