Wine of the week: Dry Creek Fume Blanc

Wine: Dry Creek Vineyard Fume Blanc 2008
Price: $10-ish
Tasting notes: Classic sauvignon blanc – bright, citrusy notes with hints of tangerine and a faint grassiness.  A winner year in and year out.
Story: This wine is one of the classics of the Dry Creek valley, and the Fume Blanc is arguably DCV’s claim to fame.  I could drink this wine every day and not get tired of it.  Beware of how easy this one drinks:  Big Bear and I overindulged on this a few years ago while having a picnic on DCV’s lawn.   See the results below.
