How we work together

“Professional, organized, creative, caring and genuine.” “Intelligent, energetic, connected and just makes things happen.” (Or so say some of my past collaborators.*)

I love working with creative partners who share an interest in collaborating, solving communication problems and just, you know, having fun on a project. (*See other recommendations of my work on LinkedIn.)

Here’s what my collaborative process looks like:

  • We’ll discuss the scope of your project, your timeline, your audience and your budget.
  • If we agree to work together, I’ll provide a Scope of Work document that confirms the deadlines, deliverables and fee.
  • Phase 1 of any project involves research. I call this mise en place, a culinary term for the process of assembling and preparing ingredients. This research may involve interviewing your customers, analyzing your market, scoping out your competitors and discussing your goals with you. I’ll compile this research and share it with you; we’ll agree to use this as the basis for the project.
  • Then, I move into Phase 2, which involves developing the first draft of the project. You’ll review and offer feedback.
  • In Phase 3, I’ll revise and refine and deliver the final version of the project.
  • Oh, yeah: about the money stuff (we’re all adults, so we can discuss this confidently). As a matter of practice, client projects are invoiced in four segments: 25% when we agree to begin a project, and at the research, draft and final delivery phases.

Sound like a recipe for success? Then contact me and we’ll get started!

  1. Bryn,

Just converted my site to a blog, WordPress. So, now, everything is ALPHA! Sorry to hear HOW has lost you but happy to learn you are on to your loves and joys. I will keep you in mind for food related work and if you need any help from a Southern writer, you know melancholy, alcoholism, rotting columns, lupus, you can count on me!

    Warmest Wishes,

    Bryn,

A big loss for HOW as I’ve always enjoyed your work, but I love hearing that you are now pursuing a true passion. I’m very happy for you and I hope we can work together sometime.

    Warmest Regards,
